FAQs & Troubleshooting – Product Listing (MapMyChannel)

1. Why is product mapping required?

Answer:
Product Mapping ensures that your ERP (NetSuite) product data aligns correctly with the sales channel requirements (Fruggo/TikTok Shop).

Why it matters:

  • Different platforms require specific formats for product data.

  • It allows you to control:

    • Product status (Active/Inactive)

    • Product title formatting

    • Product description

    • Vendor name

  • Prevents incorrect or incomplete listings.

In short:
Without product mapping, your products may still list (with default settings), but they may not appear optimized or compliant with the sales channel requirements.

2. Why is category mapping required?

Answer:
Category Mapping connects your ERP product categories with the categories used by the sales channel.

Why it matters:

  • Every platform (Fruggo/TikTok Shop) has its own category structure.

  • Your NetSuite categories may not match those directly.

  • Without mapping:

    • Products cannot be listed

    • Or may fail during listing

Example:
If your product is under “Men > Shirts” in NetSuite but Fruggo expects “Apparel > Menswear > Tops,” mapping ensures the product is listed in the correct category.

3. Why are my products not appearing after import?

Possible reasons:

  • Import process not completed successfully

  • Filters applied on the product listing page

  • Products not available in the ERP source

Solution:

  • Click “Import Products” again

  • Refresh the page

  • Check ERP (NetSuite/Amazon MCF) for product availability

4. Why am I getting errors while listing products?

Common causes:

  • Missing category mapping

  • Incomplete product data (title, description, etc.)

  • Invalid product status

Solution:

  • Hover over the error message to identify the issue

  • Fix the highlighted problem:

    • Complete Category Mapping

    • Update missing fields via product mapping.

  • Retry listing the product

5. Do I need to do product mapping for Amazon MCF?

Answer:
No.

Why:

  • Product mapping is only required for NetSuite integration.

  • Amazon MCF already provides structured product data compatible with listings.

6. Can I skip product mapping?

Answer:
Yes, but it is not recommended.

What happens if you skip it:

  • Products will be listed with default settings

  • You lose control over:

    • Titles

    • Descriptions

    • Status

7. What should I do if category mapping errors keep occurring?

Solution:

  • Go to the Category Mapping page

  • Ensure every NetSuite category is mapped to a valid sales channel category

  • Save the mapping properly

  • Retry listing

8. Why is my product listed but not visible on the sales channel?

Possible reasons:

  • The product is set to inactive.

  • Incorrect category mapping

  • Missing required attributes

Solution:

  • Check product status in "Product Mapping."

  • Verify category mapping

  • Ensure all required fields are filled

9. What is the correct order for listing products?

Recommended flow:

  1. Complete Product Mapping (NetSuite only)

  2. Click "Import Products."

  3. Fix any mapping issues (if needed)

  4. Click "List Products."

10. Can I reattempt listing failed products?

Answer:
Yes.

How:

  • Fix the issue (category mapping or missing data on the ERP/fulfillment partner platform).

  • Click "List Products" again to retry
